Our nation’s communities would have more spending power and Mehi Co. (not a poor nation, richest man in the world lived there) would have to produce something other than low cost manual labor force (for export) and corrupt government figures.

There's pros and cons. Large amounts of money leaving the country decreases the money supply, which decreases the aggregate demand, which helps keep the average price level lower than it would ordinarily be.
