I’m not really talking about taxes. I’m talking about the economy, which happens to be taxed. When illegals buy clothing, food, cars, phones, etc. they pay taxes for those items. They also create a need for more employees to sell cars, phones, food, etc. who also need those items and pay taxes.

That’s the thing. When you take a factory that employs 500 people out of a town that has 10,000 citizens, it devastates the town’s economy. I’ve seen a lot of it here in central KY. It was a real eye opener.

Sure, all of those towns come back. Some find other businesses to fill the gap, others just shrink, and in some cases, they are towns in name only - a post office, a Dollar General, a gas station, a lot of shuttered businesses and a lot of elderly residents (and welfare recipients) waiting to die.

Removing 20 million people, employed or not, from the population will have a negative effect. It is like surgery. But like surgery, there is a recovery period and then the patient is stronger than before it.

So it really should happen, but people should not expect it to suddenly get better for everyone immediately.

The problem I see with your scenario is this...
(I’m not trying to be argumentative, just trying to discuss the facts)

When a business closes down...jobs are lost...not population.

What we are talking about with 20 million people leaving are jobs continuing, but people leaving.

Granted, there will be less food eaten, less cell phones, etc.

But if a large portion of those people are unemployed, all they are doing is using your money to pay for their stuff.

The reality is, if Tyson foods were to “theoretically” lose all its employs, overnight, at one plant, “theoretically” there would be enough unemployed people to replace them the next day.

Thus, “theoretically” you would instantly stop paying for others food and cell phones and housing. Freeing up YOUR money to SPEND that how and on what YOU want.

In other words, The loss of you spending $50 a month for SOMEONE ELSEs phone, is offset by you spending that same $50 a month for the BRAND NEW phone, that YOU couldn’t buy before, because you were paying for someone elses phone.

Same with food.
Not having to pay for someone else food/ food stamps, means you can order a pizza more often, or take the family to McDs more, or go on a date night more often or to a nicer place.

The money that the illegals spend, that is covered by tax payers, would just be spent by different people at other places.
