Does it matter?
I mean, does a concurring opinion carry any weight that a majority opinion does not carry? Is this just an ego thing, or are there actual legal ramifications?

A related question would be - if the concurring justice fails to agree to the majority opinion in toto, are there legal ramifications?

I’m thinking possibly yes - not sure though.
