Oh, I’m sure. It was just a rumor so I haven’t looked at it.

I explained Google to some coworkers years ago. They were absolutely clueless and basically called it tinfoil. Then, amazingly, the article, further down, mentioned it in a backhanded way. One of them read on and saw it while one was still shaking his head and basically claiming tinfoil.

Of course, I remember one guy who was certain all the money arrived via “advertising”. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Google, AT&T, Verizon and others are engaged in wholesale spying for both commercial purposes, and to feed the NSA who does what it wants with the data. Denial all around, but it has been an open secret for decades.
