I thought Cato the Censor held the prize for ending every speech the same way!

"CARTHAGE MUST BE DESTROYED! " was indeed Cato's never ending ending.

But Cicero had his pet phrases as well; not to mention the fact that third year Latin is ONLY Cicero ( first year is an introduction to Latin: a few short stories [ sort of like a Dick & Jane primer ], a simple myth here and there [Romulus & Remus, the rape of the Sabine women...}, and bits of ancient Roman history], second year is Julius Caesar and his book on the Gallic Wars, third year is Cicero, and fourth year is Virgil...thankfully ! ) and EVERY sentence was written in the damned subjunctive case! :-(
