There are only 2 potential solutions:
1. The US Neutralizes the Kim regime and eliminates its nuclear capacity.
2. China does it under US pressure.

Either way, it has to be done. It’s in the core, strategic, existential interests of the US to ensure Norklandia cannot marry a nuke to an ICBM.

UN released a response when NK asked what will happen if they do not comply with the resolution. “Or else we will be very, very angry with you. And we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.”

What a waste of time. China and Russia won’t lift a finger to take out NK. They are supplying Kim with weapons.

North Korea made significant breakthroughs in its weapons proliferation programs at exactly the time Qatar and the Saudis were about to take crush Assad in Syria as the first phase of their take down of Russia's oil and natural gas industries.

Whatever North Korea has, Iran has as well.

The timing raises the suspicion that that Russia transferred nuclear weapons technology and possibly even fissionable or complete weapons to North Korea for supply to Iran or Syria to threaten Qatar and the Saudis into backing off in Syria- which is what they did at the time

Interesting thanks. That makes sense. It is always about the money/oil.

Whatever North Korea has, Iran has as well.

Warrants repeating and notation. You can believe that includes the fissile material for their warhead plans they obtained in 2000. Guessing that Israel is just as interested in these developments.

Since we know the norks have nukes and probably XV nerve gas, this is not reassuring.

Start banning Chinese imports into the United States. Start with something simple like Jewelry and keep going until no textiles, shoes, clothing or steel are crossing U.S borders. Either that or implement an immediate 50% tariff on all Chinese Steel. Stop the dumping. If they aren’t going to be an ally or a fair competitor then they are an enemy. Support Japanese nukes and start the process to recognize Taiwan. How much is NK worth to China? The policy should be to find out that answer.

They seem to like working second hand to avoid direct implication after getting busted in the early 2000s. Going through NK for nukes and Syria for chems. They even tried putting a Yongbyong type facility in Syria, but Israel wasn’t having it.

Banning Chinese textiles without have sufficient manufacturing capabilities elsewhere would be foolish.

Clothing, next to food, is one of our "essentials" and cutting a main source would have huge, unintended, devastating consequences.

This from the KQED website:

In 1960, an average American household spent over 10 percent of its income on clothing and shoes – equivalent to roughly $4,000 today. The average person bought fewer than 25 garments each year. And about 95 percent of those clothes were made in the United States.

Fast forward half a century.

Today, the average American household spends less than 3.5 percent of its budget on clothing and shoes – under $1,800. Yet, we buy more clothing than ever before: nearly 20 billion garments a year, close to 70 pieces of clothing per person, or more than one clothing purchase per week.
