Complete Headline: Trump is blasted for 'repugnant' request for voter records to 'indulge his fantasy that he won the popular vote' as 41 states refuse to comply

President Trump has been blasted for requesting sensitive voter data as 41 states ruled out handing the information over.

So far just three states - Colorado, Tennessee and Missouri - have agreed, while three more are considering it and another three say they have not received the request.

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh was particularly scathing in his refusal, calling the request illegal and 'repugnant'.

In a statement, Mr Frosh said the request was 'designed only to intimidate voters and indulge President Trump's fantasy that he won the popular vote'.

All I’m thinking right now is, “Very well. It is no longer a request.”

The ferocity of the Dims response is proportionate to their fear, or knowledge, that the claims of large amounts of illegal voting and voting fraud are very correct.

Its a case of “thou protest too much” as the guilty so often do. It’s very simple to ask - “what are you afraid of”?

We need an official investigation to be conducted by the authority of the US AG.

We already have proof of wide spread voter fraud, so probable cause should not be a real issue.

When the demons were trying to find proof the election was stolen from Hillinski, there was no limit to how far they would go, until of course it started uncovering, for all to see, demonic voter fraud in various states.

I may be wrong, but didn’t the commission ask for social security numbers too?
The last 4 digits, if memory serves.
Governor Wolf Denies Trump Administration Request for Voter Information
We have received your request for the personal information, including partial Social Security Numbers, birth dates and driver license numbers, of every registered voter in the state. The commonwealth cannot share this information.

Presidential Executive Order on the Establishment of Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity
Sec. 3. Mission. The Commission shall, consistent with applicable law, study the registration and voting processes used in Federal elections. The Commission shall be solely advisory and shall submit a report to the President that identifies the following:

(a) those laws, rules, policies, activities, strategies, and practices that enhance the American people's confidence in the integrity of the voting processes used in Federal elections;
(b) those laws, rules, policies, activities, strategies, and practices that undermine the American people's confidence in the integrity of the voting processes used in Federal elections; and
(c) those vulnerabilities in voting systems and practices used for Federal elections that could lead to improper voter registrations and improper voting, including fraudulent voter registrations and fraudulent voting.

81

(5) Verification of voter registration information

(A) Requiring provision of certain information by applicants (i) In general Except as provided in clause (ii), notwithstanding any other provision of law, an application for voter registration for an election for Federal office may not be accepted or processed by a State unless the application includes—
(I) in the case of an applicant who has been issued a current and valid driver's license, the applicant's driver's license number; or
(II) in the case of any other applicant (other than an applicant to whom clause (ii) applies), the last 4 digits of the applicant's social security number.

Are those publicly available with my voter information as well?
It depends on your State, but the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002 changed things.

Guess we have to split microns over what “wide spread” means.

To a liberal who just lost an election, whose party is actually guilty (historically) of doing whatever is necessary to win an election, “wide spread” might need to be defined as a high percentage of the votes cast.

Donald needs to have DOJ look into the refusal to handover voting data.

Yes, yes, yes! This goes to the heart of the "Progressive Project," which is to achieve socialist global government "by any means necessary." To them breaking our voting laws is a trivial matter -- something that makes their hearts beat a little faster as they get high on the self-righteousness of their radical zeal.

Trump already knows the answer to the question and has the hammer, according to law behind his back. He’s going to let them squirm and squall before he uses it.

Once again here is an opportunity for President Trump to flank his opponents. All he has to do is point out that we are talking about the sanctity of the vote and that the left is totally willing to compromise that at all of our expense.

Then he obtains the necessary data from the Republican party apparatus of each state and conducts his investigation.

Trump sure punked them if so. If their answers weren’t to that effect: “This stuff is public record. I don’t understand.”

Now that we know the rules of no voter id in these states, what’s the problem? Maybe if we make it 3 times the votes versus registered voters they may change the rules, you think?

I don’t know about all this.

First: Obviously, this reaction means that fraud is widespread, bipartisan, and that elected officials like it and rely on it.

But, second: I do not know that the Executive Branch OR Congress has the authority over States implied by this request.

The Executive Branch has NO authority over elections of any kind, except to enforce (constitutional) laws already on the books.

Congress can change laws that the States write for elections to Congress and the Senate (only), by changing the manner, place, and time of these two particular elections. Under “manner”, Congress could require proof of citizenship, photo ID, and revalidation of voter rolls, for these two elections only.

Other than that, it’s up to the States, most especially as to the choosing of Electors for President and Vice President. All Federal interference in the process of the States choosing the next President is baldly unconstitutional, with the exceptions provided in XV, XXIV, and XXVI - and those amendments only grant Federal authority over States which choose to adopt idiots voting as the means by which Electors are chosen.
