Why the generation after millennials will vote Republican

If Trump runs in four years, would Bloomstine vote for him? “As long as he continues to be himself, absolutely.”

Last year was the first presidential election in which Generation Z voted, according to Brauer, “yet there was virtually no attention paid to this demographic.”

In fact, in almost every case, its members were simply lumped in with their significantly different counterparts, the millennials, in the 18-to-29 age group.

“This was disingenuous and unfortunate and didn’t give the true picture of the election,” said Brauer. “Looking at the data, there was virtually no attempt to separate these two very different generations of voters.”

Brauer explains that, from 2012 to 2016, Democratic candidates lost 5 percent of the youth vote nationally (down from 60 percent to 55 percent). In Florida, Democrats’ margin of victory among the young dropped 16 percentage points. In both Ohio and Pennsylvania, the drop was 19 points. In Wisconsin, 20 points.

“It is unlikely that such significant drops were simply due to the more liberal millennial generation changing their minds from one election to the next,” said Brauer.

“It is much more likely the precipitous drops were due to the more conservative Generation Z being able, for the first time, to express their political inclinations, especially in the economically hard-hit swing states.”

Therefore, Generation Z possibly had a major, yet completely overlooked, impact in this historic election. “Generation Z voters were likely attracted to Trump because of his strong stances on national security and economic recovery — the main concerns of that generation,” said Brauer.

“This generation is different, and they are about to have a profound impact on commerce, politics and trends,” Brauer concludes. “If politicians and business leaders aren’t paying attention yet, they better, because they are about to change the world.”

I’m a geezer but I have gamed almost my whole life - I just watched the technology change. It’s funny, most of my friends now are young enough to be my children or even grandchildren. What we have in common for the most part is gaming. My wife thinks it is stupid, always has, and thinks it is more appropriate to sit around with other geezers and moan to each other about our physical decline. Not me. I’m with these kids figuring out how to min/max our characters or rosters.

Anyway, I am FAR more optimistic about the young people than the Boomers, who are ineducable, passionless, weak minded and weak spirited for the most part. Boomers - and I am one, alas - are the ones who very nearly fumbled the ball.

Boomers with some exceptions have been mostly a cancer for America. Millennials will be the same. Generation Z and what comes after will be fantastic.

I’m looking forward to the Boomers leaving the employment market. As a Gen-X guy with some skills...I’m going to pump up my retirement fund to obscene levels.(for a blue collar guy) The beautiful thing is...I have almost no debt. I’ll have the house paid off in around 8 years, I have around 120,000 in equity on it right now, and the one car payment we have will be paid off in 4 years.

I might get a new pickup once that one car is paid off. If I do my low mileage 2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport will get me at least 8,000 if not more when I sell it.

Generation Z has learned the lessons of Gen-X and seen the reality within the system. (The Red Pill) They were suckled at the teat of the internet and can smell trolls from a mile away. They love 4chan/pol, they love anonymous; Julian Assange has been their priest, and Wikileaks has been their temple.

As a old decrepit blue collar dude...watching this all go down...I can’t describe how satisfied I am right now that every single thing I told my fat, disgusting, communist, draft dodging, Constitution hating, dirtbag of a civics teacher...has come true. It’s fucking magic. The fucking CIA should hire me because I don’t smoke pot, I apparently can predict the future, and I’m rarely wrong on the internet.
