I have over 30 years policing experience in London. I have commanded firearms operations and respect the skills and commitment of firearms officers. However, I would not wish to carry a firearm myself, for a combination of moral and practical reasons. In terms of the question posed, I would resign rather than being forced to choose any particular firearm.
But even more interesting was this:
[...] a staggering 56% claimed they would resign from the force rather than accept an order to carry a firearm
That attitude makes it easy for the muslims to kill them.
