You mean back to the good-old days when Republican candidates took it in the shorts and said “Thank you sir, may I have another?”.

That's why Trump needs to keep it up. The only agenda (destroy Trump at all costs) being disrupted by his tweets are the MSM's. That's why they want him to stop.

Paraphrase: Do Republicans go back to hamstringing themselves?

If their stupid/traitors/frauds like Ryan, Sasse, and Bush, maybe they will.

For now, until the Enquirer comes out: The Morning Show HO exercises for her guests and her pimp, Joe!

Be careful Mika! Are you on the desk that a young woman hit her head on and killed herself?

The Times columnist said Trump tweets “makes it harder for us, our country, to ever get back to normal.”

The country had already gone abnormal.

That why you got Trump.

Can’t these people learn anything?

So far, 2017 isn't all that different from 1800.

Yeah, things are still normal, it's just the technology that's different. I recently read Mark Twain's autobiography, and if you swap "telegraph" for "internet," and "Chautauqua circuit" for "talk show," his life as a public figure sounds just like today. It was an era where it was normal for the President to say, "I don't believe the American people want a gelding in the White House."

Brooks....”Trump tweets “makes it harder for us”.....

LOLOL....of course it is harder to manipulate the game as they want it to be played. Brooks just whining like the rest of them.

I think Trump has struck a ‘comfortable balance’....we have a Great President doing all the things we asked of him.....and yet he still remains ‘The Donald’ that we see from time to time amidst it all....and that’s a good thing.

Brooks, the elite lying mediots like you, who control the NY Slimes, ABCNNBCBS, Faux,, WSJ, Compost, and LaRaza Slimes fail to realize: President Trump does not need you or them to speak to his 62+ million voters/us.

He Tweets us, sends his contributors emails and controls the White House digital system. He bypasses the left wing mediots, when he communicates directly with us.

Again, neither President Trump, nor his 62+ million voters need nor do we want the NY Slimes, BBC, ABCNNBCBS, Faux, the LaRaza/LA Slimes, WSJ, Compost, and LaRaza Times trying to tell us what our president is telling us. We know without their twisting and word games.

We don’t need the “old gotcha” press conferences. With the whining and lying liberal mediots attacking our president. We are tired of the mediots lying and telling us what to believe and how to vote! Ban them from the White House. Trump’s comments and statements are for his voters. We don’t need lying liberal mediots to tell us what he says to us. There is zero filtering, adjusting and lying to us when Trump talks to us directly!

Official Washington is being traumatized by the tweets of Donald Trump.

Trump speaking directly to the people via Twitter or the Whitehouse.com is causing a crisis among mediots, politicians, Never Trumpsters and lobbyists. They just don't know how to handle “Trump’s Twitter feed which traumatizes Washington and his enemies.

Brooks, enjoy your coming irrelevance. We will! President Trump is bring the good normal back to our lives!

They also made fun of his lisp when speaking.

People should remember this when they talk about making fun of Trump's looks, and Trump returning fire in-kind. People even mocked Barack Obama's ears.

This behavior has been "presidential" since after the Washington administration.

Those who made their living in the old status quo will fight tooth and nail, lie, twist and spin in desperate need to maintain the old status quo.

They are, in every meaningful way, part and parcel of the Deep State Swamp.

Thesis, antithesis...synthesis. Only question is whether the Dems or GOP are more moved to be the change agent. From Brooks’ vantage Trump is antithesis and he is still on the upswing.

I can see the Dems taking an issue like state or local public sector pensions collapse, where a lot of GOP voters would be affected, and arguing for nationalizing public sector pensions (which have no counterpart to the private sector PBGC). States like Florida and Arizona, with a whole lot of retired cops, teachers and nurses, would be unlikely to take a hard line, IMO.

A lying media? A faithless and lying Republican and Democrat party who’s only constituency is the Cocktail Crowd? Special interest running the Government?

You forgot 'people who value 'words' over 'actions'... people who think an elegant 'apology' is of value over keeping your word to the people who elected you...

People who have created massive wealth in the seven counties surrounding Washington DC while bankrupting the rest of the Nation.

People who are shallow, self-centered and narcissistic running our country while looking down on 'the deplorables' who pay for their graft...

Yeah David Brooks - God Willing we will drain all of you out of the Swamp forever.

GWB became a punching bag and never fought back. The MSM punched him, kicked him, pummeled him. It never stopped. His Presidency was diminished because of it. Elites like Brooks watched it happen with glee. Trump says NO!

His 4 Tweets this morning are awesome! Keep fighting DJT! MAGA!!!!

Having lived here all my life, I can tell you that in Loudoun’s case (which is the richest) it’s not the government which makes it wealthy, it’s the technology. Data Center Ally.

Turns out we didn’t particularly care for nor participate in David Brooks’ “normal” because there never was anything normal about it. David Brooks prattling about normal is actually sort of bizarre.
