Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D., Texas) called on President Donald Trump to resign Thursday in the wake of his criticized tweets attacking "Morning Joe" host Mika Brzezinski.
Trump set off a media firestorm Thursday when he tweeted attacks on Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, the engaged MSNBC hosts who were once friendly with Trump but are now two of his staunchest critics.

"There's a sense of hurt feelings," she said. "Mr. President, bleeding from the face? You're again attacking women, professional women? You're calling someone a psycho with all of the individuals fighting for their lives, suffering from mental health needs? You're attacking a woman, a professional woman, about her IQ?"
Jackson Lee also castigated Trump for spending his time attacking "human beings that happen to be Americans and happen to be the media" amidst the debate over his health care proposal.
"I've gone through, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, impeachments. But we can't wait that long. It is time for you to resign," she said. "Enough is enough. I love America. I love these people, and we need a commander in chief."
With supporters like you what does President Trump need enemies for?
You have no understanding of the dynamics involved and would be happier with Maxine Waters’ crowd. Only President Trump’s enemies want him to stop twittering because its so effective....except for the few pearl twisting loons who just get triggered by testosterone.

I’m a supporter, but Trump is a thin skinned a$$. This $hit is TOTALLY beneath the Office of the President. He shouldn’t even dignify these dopes with his attention, yet he can’t take his f^cking finger off the Tweet button. This aspect of his Presidency is a friggin disaster. Someone ought to smash his cell phone and block Twitter on the White House PCs... . Enough already.
With all due respect to your position and opinion, I’ve come to the opposite conclusion.
For far, far too long, Republican Presidents and administrations have allowed the ‘press’ to act as their ‘interpreters’ to the people of the United States. The ‘Press’ then manipulates and creates public opinion to their own needs and ends.
Now that a President has found a method of going around the ‘press’, they have gone insane in anger and from what I can tell... Fear. Fear that their power and influence have been bypassed and yes... may be permanently damaged or even destroyed as their Corporate sponsors and owners are forced to divest themselves of these Media companies.
Yes, President Trump does Tweet things that can make a sane person cringe. But after watching this man and how he manipulates the emotions of the Press Corp, I can now see the good he does when he throws out a tweet that infuriates the ‘press’ and other politicians.
They become emotionally unhinged and concentrate on the inconsequential tweet while ‘something’ important is accomplished in the shadow of verbal fury directed back at him. It’s a great tactic and the ‘Press’ falls for it nearly every time.
Then why are they losing their few remaining brain cells and scurrying around like ants with a shoe shadow hovering overhead?

I am overjoyed to see President Trump redefining what it means to be presidential, after the philanderer-JFK, the lunatic fringe_Carter, and the perjuring cigar wielding rapist-Clinton, we were due for some straight shooting America loving pragmatism.
I couldn’t be prouder of our President who gave up a life of luxury to bring the fight for the rights and futures of average Americans to the Nations capital and the world at large. I like that he can tweet, but should stick to things that the press will never answer any dem. I have zero problem with him bashing the media. Even with tweets. He can attack the NYT, CNN, etc.. but the personal stuff is beneath him. It makes him look like a cry baby. It’s not a help. The people on this forum are not a good cross section of his voting support. We’re a niche.
And just like Hillary motivated people to come out and vote against her, he’s motivating Dems with this garbage to come out and vote against him. But first, he’s providing fodder for the midterm elections. That will be the first barometer.
I just wish he’d shut the hell up and get more done. Where’s the wall? His ability to deal on Obamacare? Tax Reform? Let’s go!
