Ahhh, OK. Frasier is a very “gay” show like that, rarely (but consistently) having actual gay topics, but written and acted by mostly gay people. It’s wonderful. Promoting intellect and higher education while ripping it wickedly. You can’t be an ex English major and not love that show.
Agreed - Frasier is superb at sharply but gently taking on not so much gays themselves but the gay situation - some of its funniest and most affecting episodes deal with gays and straights getting along together, or not - the one where Martin pretends to be gay to avoid a woman who is attracted to him and ends up "dating" her gay relative - the one where Frasier brings his boss home to meet Daphne, not realizing that the man is gay and is interested in Frasier himself - great stuff....
