NBC News reportedly hired Megyn Kelly to take Matt Lauers spot on the Today show, but after Kellys disastrous first month at the network, Lauer is no longer on the hot seat, according to a report.
The puffy profile overlooks Kellys numerous professional and personality flaws and shortcomings, makes a litany of excuses for Kellys failures. In it, Vanity Fairs Sarah Ellison notes that the silver lining in Kellys disastrously wretched ratings may be that there are no longer rumors about Lauers job security.
Upon Kellys arrival, one TV industry insider told me that her hire was all about replacing Matt Lauer in a couple of years. They want to protect the Today show and they will build the Today show around her. One month into her tenure at NBC, though, those rumors have quieted, Ellison writes.
Vanity Fair has noted that during her time at Fox News, Kelly acquired the nickname Me-Again on account of a perceived ability to put herself in the center of affairs. Though NBC executives reportedly believed Kelly had great potential in a number of formats, a television executive told CNN recently that, after Kellys first few shows, NBCs fundamental mistake was thinking that Kelly was a superstar.
Given the fact that, according to Ellisons previous reporting, Kellys salary ($17 million annually) is probably more than everyone on CBS Newss 60 Minutes combined, Kellys ratings are even more disastrous.
Kellys ratings have gotten so bad that New York radio host Mark Simone said NBC was looking to already unload Kelly and may even try to convince Fox News to take her back.
But a high-ranking Fox News official told Breitbart News that there would be no way Kelly could crawl back because, simply, she would not be welcomed back.

She looks like she’s floating an air biscuit in the picture on the right.
STRUGGLING to float an air biscuit, I should say.
I used to like her before she got the 9pm slot. I really started disliking her when she kept leaking things about Roger Ailes. It would be an anonymous source and then she would neither confirm nor deny the accusations.
Like Glenn Beck, she believed the sycophants that surrounded her, she was the networks biggest star, untouchable
She played her games and it back fired.
I damn sure would take Kelly over the insufferable, liberal a$$hat, Matt Lauer.
Both full of crap, physical attributes fall by the wayside when the mouth opens.
Before the primary debate showdown between Trump and megyn, I liked megyn and didn’t think much about Trump.
After the showdown, I despised megyn and began considering voting for Trump.
