She was confirmed 93 to 6.
There werent 93 Democrats in the Senate at the time.
After vote 51, votes 52 to 100 are in material. There were 57 Dem senators in 1993.

So, as soon as 51 is reached nobody has any Principles.
Got it.
The Republicans are Cowards.
They were Cowards then and they are Cowards now.
I remember the rhetoric around those votes:
“A president is entitled to have his nominees get a fair hearing.”
“While I don’t agree with his/her politics, there is nothing that disqualifies [insert leftist nominee here] from serving on the bench.”
The Democrats laugh(ed) at how Republicans allow(ed) themselves to to have their own magnanimity and virtue used against them. And that’s the beauty of Trump—to him, losing gracefully is still losing; he prefers to win.
She was recommended as an easy confirmation by Orin Hatch to that despicable Clinton.
“She was confirmed 93 to 6.
There werent 93 Democrats in the Senate at the time.”
And miss an opportunity to reach across the aisle? I mean, reaching across the aisle is the only reason a senator or representative is elected. It shows so much about them, their caring, concern, and being a team player that can be counted on when things go from reaching across the aisle to maneuvering under the table.
