I ‘m sorry to say you are right, Miss Marmelstein! Not all women are like the ones described by bitter Freeper men, I absolutely reject some of the terrible things that have been said here. My husband had to take early retirement for medical reasons. He went from making $200k per year to zero. I don’t love or respect him any less and am thankful that as a professional engineer, I am now the family breadwinner.
Good for you! My husband was fired in 2011 and our income dropped to practically zero. Hard times for several years! It never occurred to me to leave him - it wasn’t his fault. And by hanging together rather than hanging separately, we are now in a safe harbor and enjoying retirement (if a bit early!)
