A few years ago when the 2 comedians held a rally the estimate was 800,000. Shortly after, I think not before, when Glen Beck? had a rally the estimate was 500,000 I went to both events, and the comedian rally was definitely larger. I also went to the Obama Inaugural 2009 and it was far larger than the one for Trump. We were all the way back at the Washington Monument and it was really hard to see the Jumbotrons so many people were in the way. Also, the Mall was totally filled. At the Trump Inaugural, significant portions of the Mall which this time were covered with white plastic plates to protect the grass were visible to me, as they were in photographs which pro Trump tried to say was early or late but not during the Inaugural. They were wrong, I was there, and have been to many other events—the Million Man March, the Gay rights march in the mid ‘90s, the WWII Memorial dedication, etc.
I think it is possible that 500,000 might show up. Estimates are based on a combination of photos from planes and Metro subway and bus figures. I think their figures for the comedians was about 800,000 and for Glen Beck about 500,000
I was there for Glen Beck too. It was a joyful celebration of liberty and being American....lots of red, white and blue....also before he went off the rails. If there were any protestors, they were few and non-violent.
