Frankly, you are very right. We got lucky. If the Democrats had put up someone with a pulse, well who knows what would have happened. Still, though, I think Trump resonated with real America, not the takers, the aliens, the hate-America people. It is my belief that somewhere, someone watches over America. He allows for the occasional buffoon, but when we really, REALLY need it, he puts the right man in the right position.
