I don’t know, either. I don’t know the requirements for electrician licensing in the U.S. or in Ireland. I do know that an electrician can’t fix the switch on your dryer, because he’s not allowed to work on appliances. I learned this when an electrician at church said to let him know if I needed anything ... and what I needed was a new switch on my dryer.

Didn’t know that about electricians and dryers. I live in an apartment building, and won’t use the machines in the basement as they aren’t reliable. It takes forever to dry anything as they have two stacked dryers connected through the same vent. It’s easier to just lug the bags down to my car, and get it all done in one visit to the laundromat. Saves me from having to run up and down the stairs too.
