Gay used to mean happy and carefree. Faggies are anything but.
They are in your face demanding acceptance and approval, though.
I will never forget many many years ago reading Cinderella to my 3 1/2 year old niece and the word gay was in the story as in happy, frolicking. . .my niece looked up at me and asked, “Is Cinderella gay?” I was totally flabbergasted to say the least. I said no and kept reading. These kids pick up on adult conversations to a degree we can’t even imagine.
