I say put a special “entertainers tax” of 100% on income above minimum wage. You want confiscatory Marxism, kids ? You got it.

I’ve been gravitating toward permitting a wealth tax on those with net worth over $1 billion. It seems most are all too anxious to demand higher government spending on their favorite social peacocking causes du jour. But I’d be happy to jump on the bandwagon for an entertainers tax as you described. The funniest thing is those like Gervais referring to his kind as elite, when there is nothing except wealth that imputes elitism about them.
I seem to remember Barbara Streisand being an example of someone this would have applied to. Does anyone else remember this?
