Hard to do better teaching when the average IQ is 85 and does not want to “act white”.
The disdain for “acting white” IS the chief hurdle, and it’s largely learned at home.
If the schools are an echo chamber to what was learned at home, they are, but don’t make the mistake that they taught what wasn’t already believed.
