Sounds like New York city public schools. One of the most embarrassing business meetings I ever sat through in my life was about 20 years ago when I was doing safety training for companies in Brooklyn New york and one day we did a training session for a company that sold and delivered food products where a lot of the warehouse employees were black. Just another routine meeting with the employees until my boss came up with the BRILLIANT idea that the employees should take turns reading aloud from the safety manual. Almost every single black guy in that room could barely read an entire sentence, and these were guys in their 20s, 30s 40s. My boss was correcting them every 2 seconds, it was freakin’ torture. “T-t-t-o a-a-apply the b-b-b-rake” I remember thinking to myself “Please God, make it stop! Please please” and then my boss would say NEXT! lol Oh yeah and one of the managers told me when it was over that all of them were High school grads. HOW?? HOW THE F IS THAT POSSIBLE unless they were lying on their applications?
