Despite spending more per pupil than all but two large school districts in America, at least half a dozen government schools in Baltimore were unable to produce one single student who was proficient in either English or math last year.
The shocking results, uncovered by Project Baltimore, show a monumental tragedy unfolding in the city that represents a microcosm of the damage being inflicted on children across America. The proficiency tests put students in five categories, with four and five considered proficient, and one through three considered not proficient.

Maybe those 6 schools cant produce a single teacher proficient in English or Math, either.
No but they can make them feel good about themselves..
-——Im telling you, its not about the schools, its about the home life.——
No, it’s the schools....
I am sure out of those six schools a nice majority of parents care about their children...
Imagine you are a decent parent who cares about your child’s education...
You are forced to send them into something similar to prison where gangs rule and the staff cower in fear...
Schools are NOTHING like when we grew up...
And they can put a condom on a cucumber in 3 seconds flat!
Agree with you.
Peer pressure is definitely part of school culture. I’m a teacher in L.A., and I have seen a lot of Black parents enroll their kids over in the Hispanic areas because they don’t want their kids going to school in “their” neighborhood. The kids tell me this openly.
“Economically privileged.” Please do tell. How the hell does a person who busts their fanny to do well earn that title? Where did you learn that term?
“I’m telling you, it’s not about the schools, it’s about the home life.”
******************************************
True dat! And, unfortunately, it’s also about the IQs.
We did not buy the sale or BS. It was Bush and Obama. Both are IDIOTS.
“It also pervades other neighborhoods, as well, including the economically privileged.”
Nonsense. You would never get these abysmal scores in wealthy neighborhoods.
.
I had never seen that ,, guess Darwin was right about something...
They need Joe Clark from that movie lean on me.
shocking, not really
I wrote the term ironically. Tongue in cheek. I should have put some kind of marker, like a sarc notation. That’s what the far Left call anyone who doesn’t live in Third World inner cities. Anyone who reads knows these propaganda terms and can invent them easily. All meant to divide the population, one against the other. My point is that this “global warming” nonsense is being taught to both poor, middle class and better off students. Also in parochial schools of all stripes. Those curricula do get taught. Reading, writing, and arithmetic, spelling, geography, history, The U.S. Constitution - not much.
COMMON CORE.
My point is that the brainwashing curricula are taught in both poor and rich neighborhoods. I wasn’t referring to test scores in any subject. The higher the socio-economic kids have internalized the global man made climate change nonsense as Holy Writ. The principals and teachers spend an inordinate amount of time pushing the word “sustainability” and the rest of the related false “science.” Fairs, projects, trips, you name it. All to prove to the kids that U.S. industry is “evil” and that they personally can “save the planet.” Kids are sensitive to this horror story. Will the truth, when it can’t be mocked any more, be able to change their thinking? Will they be angry at their parents, their teachers, their clergymen for preaching falsehoods?
“COMMON CORE.”
Yep.
The inner city residents of Baltimore have been manipulated for countless decades. The incitement against lawabiding citizens began long ago. Marxist agitators drove brick-laden trucks into the inner city of Baltimore after the MLK assassination and handed them out, suggesting the residents throw the bricks into store windows, trash the stores, and steal the stock. TV sets were a special favorite. Many businesses never recovered. Stores and homes have been boarded up for block after block ever since.
That is all you need to know on Education in this country.
“Baltimore schools spend the third-highest amount per pupil among the 100 largest school districts in America at around $16,000 per student”
“But the most important factor, in this writer’s view, is still the quack methods used to teach reading in government schools across America, sometimes known as “whole word” or “sight words” or “look-say,” as opposed to phonics.”
I thought they were bringing back phonics? See Jane run.
About 15 yrs ago a man (82 then) had a sister who had been an elementary school teacher. He said when she had a stroke and lost the ability to read, she taught herself all over again using her old books. Just saying.
The photo at post #88 shows what appear to be a group of predators.
