I’ve been there too and you’re right, it was not a rifle shot from the front right, but rather a pistol shot.
Anybody with common sense (and no hidden agenda, like Bugliosi or Posner), who’s studied the matter, gets that Oswald was a CIA-FBI stringer and a patsy for the real shooters, who were set up by a CIA/Mafia coalition.
Funny how the second Congressional Committee to investigate the JFK affair, ended up with numerous subpoenaed witnesses “mysteriously” being murdered days or even hours before they were to appear before the Committee. Just coincidence, I guess.....

I too have been there, spent an entire day examining the area from every direction, and came to the conclusion that a rifle shot could easily have come from behind the fence on the grassy knoll.
