Maybe the dems will start to realize that money isn’t enough.

Maybe it is enough for her purpose.

Maybe political parties are like sports team owners who realize that they can do better financially by not winning a championship. If they won, they'd have to pay the players more or lose them to other teams.

In other words, the party that wins has to find a way to keep all the promises it made. If they don't win, the money will roll in and the leaders can have a good life and answer to nobody.
