No no, they can’t do that.
You have to go back to what was being said before the election. You can’t just ignore what was said.
Before the election, we were told that this was a referendum on Trump, and a referendum on Republicans in general terms, regarding Republican control of the House.
We were told that the criteria were : if Ossoff won, it would be a repudiation of Trump, and an indication that the Republicans would likely lose the House in the 2018 mid term elections.
So then, since Handel won, this should be described as a confirmation that Trump still has support, and that the GOP is likely to retain control of the House in 2018.
You can’t just change the criteria of what they said the election was all about,because of this result.
If it was a referendum on Trump, it’s still a referendum on Trump, even though the Democrat didn’t win it.
But in being a referendum on Trump, we would have to say that Trump “won” and this confirms he still has strong support.
CNN can’t just change the narrative because the result wasn’t to their liking.
This was more like a referendum on the Democrat Party. And they lost big last night.
Maybe we can say Lemon and CNN are now "Sour Pusses".
I was just watching the Califate News Network and they are all miserable and unhappy. At first I thought somebody died. Their referendum on Trump actually worked. People were motivated and went out to vote. Thank you CNN you did a great job on behalf of the POTUS.

Every once in a while I watch the left scream media to see what pravda has to say. They were chanting about how the Georgia race was a referendum on Trump, all about Trump, etc on and on. If the Dems would have won, this would be non stop anti Trump news up until Sunday morning. Since Trump/GOP won........crickets. WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!
This election means NOTHING unless the Republicans get off their sorry, low-life a$$e$, get behind the Trump agenda supported by the people who elected him, and vigorously defend him from Democrat attacks (instead of assisting them).

Out of curiosity, I watched a CNN panel at about 11 pm last nite after CNN had reluctantly called the election for Handel. Chaired by Don Lemon, who was nearly in tears, it consisted of Five left-wing nuts and a token semi-balanced news person (Dana Bash who still looked horrified). They agreed that it was not a referendum on Trump but it WOULD HAVE BEEN had the Rep lost. Ha, Ha!
