I saw the video footage of him taking the poster down on Tageschau (German TV), and it’s him clear as day. Secondly his tearful pleading for mercy at his sentencing demonstrates that he understood after the fact that his stupid act placed him at great peril. Go to Iran and try to pull a stunt like that against the Ayatollah or Muhammad and you would be stoned to death.

Which is why he NEVER dispute taking the political poster down ..you can see him pleading for mercy at the conclusion of his trial carry on snowflake...

Like any large city (third largest in US with 2.7 million residents), one has to exercise common sense when visiting...Chicago has a shooting problem— stems from the democrat control of the city...they are mishandling many things. There are some very dangerous areas and very dangerous gangs, but to compare Chicago to North Korea in terms of safety is disingenuous and lacking facts.
I am biased—I am a Chicagoan. I enjoy the city, but not the democrat regime that is controlling it and Illinois. Now if you want to talk trash about Illinois fiscal situation, I will agree that there are major problems!! Frankly, in terms of impacting me, I am more concerned about Illinois fiscal problems than Chicago safety issues.

There were other American tourists interviewed on Tageschau who were there at the same time as Otto. Why weren’t they rounded up by the NORKS and falsely accused and tried?

What you prove is your obsession with the unprovable, which is that he did not take down the poster. It’s over, he was tried, convicted and sentenced. The visual evidence is there and no one is able to dispute the fact, even Otto didn’t dispute what he had done. The US government didn’t attempt to dispute the facts. And subsequently he suffered the same consequences as other foreign nationals have while engaging in “offensive” behavior in this country.
