This hearing is notable, because it is mentioned in the appointment letter from Rosenstein to Mueller. Mueller’s assignment is to take certain investigations then open, out of the FBI.

Congress knows the exact details of the cases Mueller is investigating, and is playing “hide the ball” against the public, in order to advance a coup attempt against President Trump.
Gowdy’s grandstanding appears as well. I personally find the transcript more useful to grasp the significance or lack thereof of his questions. One of his questions goes to the criminality of leaking the Flynn phone call with Russian ambassador to the press.

So true! How anyone could conduct a Benghazi investigation without establishing who gave the stand-down command is beyond comprehension. Gowdy’s orders, obviously, were to do something that *looked* like an investigation without doing any actual damage to Hillary.
They sure picked the right guy for that farce.

Note too, Comey protects his conversations with Obama, and leaks like a sieve, his conversations with Trump.

I noticed that in your post, and the outrage from congress members was only during Sessions testimony.
Comey is a piece of work, that’s for sure.

He more than made the Benghazi case again it wasn’t taken further because he was stone walled and nothing was going to come of it with a Democrat Government
What do you want him to do? Seriously, what exactly do you think his job is?
To be moderately fair Trey can not force the AG to file charges, now that Sessions is in place there is no excuse, but I have a feeling one will arise. Mueller would not be in his current position if not for Sessions. Whether complicit or naive is yet to be determined, silence in this instance is not golden.
I think it was Rodgers that came out publicly and gave Hillary a clean bill.
The key to Benghazi was finding out who denied help to our guys. They could have been rescued. Someone sentenced them to death instead.

Gowdy made no effort to find out. He might as well not have held the hearings, if he couldn’t be bothered to answer that all important question. [The answer is Hillary. But most people will never know that because Gowdy gave her a pass.]
