That is a telling statement. Even though the media is losing its influence over American politics, it still has huge clout. From childhood we have been conditioned to believe everything on the news. If it was on TV, then it had to be true.
That is what we are up against. The Democrats have full control of the media, and they can say whatever they want and automatically 1/3 of the population will believe them. 1/3 doesn't need convincing, and 1/3 won't be convinced either way. Public opinion and elections are won or lost in the 1/3 in the middle.
Either way this race turns out, it is enormous. Symbolically, it will be a liberal referendum on impeachment. Give them momentum, and the media will make it inevitable.
