IF all conservatives STOP their CABLE NEWS.
IT would end.
I stopped my cable news in 2011.
Come on everyone! Cancel your cable news. CUT THE CORD.
IMHO the problem has been SCOTUS. And still is SCOTUS.The problem also is to identify the defendant, and the plaintiff. And to argue the case on the correct grounds.
First of all, the defendant. We know that the MSM is anti-Republican propaganda. But how do you sue the MSM? Legally there is no such entity. But actually, there is - and it does have a name. It is the Associated Press and its individual members, joint and several liability. What is the tort? IMHO it is violation of The Sherman Anti-Trust Act of 1890.
The thing to know about Sherman is that it is short - a one-pager. Which gives a prosecution or a civil complaint for triple damages freedom to argue its own definition of what a Trust is.
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. It is impossible indeed to prevent such meetings, by any law which either could be executed, or would be consistent with liberty and justice. But though the law cannot hinder people of the same trade from sometimes assembling together, it ought to do nothing to facilitate such assemblies; much less to render them necessary. - Adam Smith, Wealth of NationsIs as good a definition as any - and the AP wire is nothing but a continual virtual meeting of all major journalism outlets. The problem is that the plaintiff, in a civil suit, would be society. And that is a nebulous concept legally IMHO (IANAL). And the tort is that the AP - all wire services, actually - homogenize journalism into an entity which systematically practices on the gullibility of the public:The republican principle demands that the deliberate sense of the community should govern the conduct of those to whom they intrust the management of their affairs; but it does not require an unqualified complaisance to every sudden breeze of passion or to every transient impulse which the people may receive from the arts of men, who flatter their prejudices to betray their interests. ― Alexander HamiltonAnd again,The natural disposition is always to believe. It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough. The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing.Journalism is any any case inherently liberal for commercial reasons. Journalism is negative because If it bleeds, it leads is a good way to attract attention to your newspaper. But journalism, knowing that it is negative, claims - again, in order to gain readership - to be objective. But claiming that negativity is objectivity is a fine definition of cynicism. Journalism is cynical about society, and - concomitantly - naive about government. The man whom we believe is necessarily, in the things concerning which we believe him, our leader and director, and we look up to him with a certain degree of esteem and respect. But as from admiring other people we come to wish to be admired ourselves; so from being led and directed by other people we learn to wish to become ourselves leaders and directors . . .
The desire of being believed, the desire of persuading, of leading and directing other people, seems to be one of the strongest of all our natural desires. - Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.Liberals - emphatically including Establishment journalism - conflate society with government precisely to prevent people from recognizing that although skepticism about society is justifiable, and the foundation for the very existence of government, cynicism about society produces unnecessary government - that is, unnecessary evil. Evil up to, and including, tyranny.Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one . . . - Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)
The whole camping trip will end like Occupy Wall Street did. It will take some time for the dust to settle but there will be a 2nd Trump term, and it will attributable to what they’re doing to him now.
I agree. You can bet there is good evidence now of a conspiracy to commit sedition or treason. If Sessions won’t investigate there are 90+ other US District Attorneys who could do the job at Trump’s direction. The third in line is Rachel Brand at the DOJ, but she strikes me as a squish who doesn’t have the killer instincts to do the job.
Are you kidding me? The assassination is not the top story?
To be on the safe side, a Broadway play could depict it using fake guns, ammo, blood and screams...I would enjoy a performance like that. Based on what we know is out there now, I’d say it has real potential!
What phony leak are you referring to? The post was a Trump tweet.
There should be some new attack dogs brought into this administration.
The opposition has vulnerabilities which need to be exposed. Put them on defense and this battle will change.
this, maybe?
“Circa reported that in a closed session following Comeys testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee last Thursday, the fired FBI director told lawmakers he confronted Lynch over a sensitive document reportedly suggesting she had agreed to stop any Clinton prosecution.
During the closed-door conversation, Comey reportedly told lawmakers Lynch looked at the document and then looked up with a steely silence — and directed Comey to leave her office...”

Feinstein sent a letter, followed by Grassley sending a letter to Feinstein Wednesday (same day of Mueller meeting I think), assuring her that “the committee will pursue investigations into any efforts to influence FBI investigations. “
Sessions should put out a warning that if Mueller does expand out, he's violated his mandate and could be fired.
The DC swamp gets too hot in July and August for the swamp critters to stick around. Their Federale jobs allow lots of non-verified vacation time.
Best month for Trump to dial back Muller and his prosecutors (nuke them and get rid of these tar baby robots) is August when the heat really sinks in and everyone bails out the DC swamp.
To everything there is a season and August is only 45 days away.
They are incapable of repenting. I literally believe that they have committed the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
It absolutely wasn’t - and if you went to their websites they had it on the side while the “Trump obstruction” story was front and center.
Absolutely; if each fake news story convinces .5% of people, then eventually they’ll get a majority.
Never happen.
Oh wait! Let’s see: Leftists can advocate for violence all they want, and when a leftist starts shooting Republican congressmen, all the media can do is call for gun bans, and then advocate for more violence.
No. I shall not retract.
Mueller is bound by DoJ regulations and procedures. There is a substantial body of material there on the subject of witness immunity.
U.S. Attorneys' Manual >> Title 9: Criminal >> 9-23.000 - Witness Immunity
