That’s why I said just because you have surgery, even for a bullet wound, does not necessarily mean you are critical. Something had to have changed in his overall condition to cause the change in status.

Exactly.

There are all sorts of things that can go wrong once a surgeon is inside a Pt’s lower abdomen, In addition, there is always a chance of an abreaction to the anesthesia itself, stress induced cardiac rhythm problems, or a stroke from a clot floating to the brain.

The problem re: a stroke is that docs cannot put Pt on anticoagulants, to treat or prevent clots, because clotting is exactly what they want in the rest of the body.
