One purpose of attempting to introduce bills of impeachment is to keep Trump and his administration from completing his “agenda.” With control of the house by Republicans a realistic chance of success is virtually impossible. A second purpose is to increase hatred of Trump sufficiently to defeat Republicans in the coming election.
A third possibility is to impress interns sufficiently with blustery talk that looks good on one’s fb page so that said interns are more receptive to prurient suggestions. It’s always party time in state capitals.
