Shots were fired near a group of Republican congressman in Alexandria, Virginia, police and witnesses said.
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) told HuffPost that multiple people were shot, including Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) Brooks said the lawmakers were at baseball practice.
Alexandria Police said that victims were being transported to nearby hospitals.
