Oh, man, is that horrific.... always was afraid of buildings like that. Not enough money in the world to get me to live in a city in one of those things.

Looks like a paper wasp nest being gasolined, and burning up just as fast.

Oh, man, is that horrific.... always was afraid of buildings like that.

My wife's oldest sister used to live in a multi-story apartment complex. She deliberately chose a first-floor apartment close to the main entrance. Said it was part of her plan to survive if there was a fire. The whole extended family laughed at her. A few years later, she called me and asked me to pick her up and take her in. Her building had a major fire, and some people died on an upper floor. Well, we weren't laughing anymore. She stayed with us for a while until she relocated, now has a home (one-story rancher, of course).

Same here. I refuse to live & even work in a high-rise For that reason- they are firetraps. What will you do? Run outside on the 20th floor? Right now I live on the second floor apartment and I do worry because the landlord will not fix anything. I have 3 outlets that are not working. I also know a few of my neighbors outlets do not work. So that has been in back of my mind.
