Just wait until moonbeam tries to give BILLIONS of our dollars away to other countries to “fight global warming.” Or when the state government tries to spend $400 BILLION for a socialized healthcare system. Or flushing $100 BILLION on a damnable train that won’t do anything for the state (and probably won’t ever get out of the Central Valley whistle stops).
Somehow people can get outraged at ten cents more a gallon at the pump, but ignore the far bigger issues that are killing this once-beautiful state.
One reason I'm outraged at this Senate Bill pushed by Gov Brown is that the gas taxes will go to the general fund, and not specifically for fixing roads as was the case in the past. That means the gas taxes raised can and most likely will be diverted to other pet projects. Plus the politicians, in future years, will again want to raise taxes to fix the roads because the money was diverted.
