I agree with your post in its entirety. To which I’d add: In my neck of the woods, there are many Blue Dog Democrats, folks who have voted Dem all their lives, because that’s what their parents and grandparents did. But they went for Trump this time.
I see no value in insulting those folks. Better to try to win them over, permanently, instead.
That being said, I’m sure Eric Trump didn’t mean to insult every last Dem. It was just something he blurted out, out of frustration - because the far-left behaves in such a despicable manner.
The point he was making was the rabid HATRED of the Democrats is hard to understand. The LEFTIST Hill takes an awkward phrase and runs with it.
