Yeah, Shaun, I dreamed of being President, or mebbe just the HNIC and Chief Landscaper at a small estate in the NC coastal boondocks. But I decided against the highest office in the land. Although I did watch plenty of political theater on Snappy Sammy Smoot's WeeWee'd TeeVee and felt myself qualified. I just felt I could do the most for my country and civil rights dictating over my own l'il 6 acres. Self identifying as just another old redneck. d:^D

I remember reading somewhere back in the day that Jimmy Carter decided to run for President when he went to DC as the governor of GA, and concluded he was as smart as anyone he met there, so there wasn't any reason he couldn't be POTUS. The mistake, as I have since concluded, was that he was comparing himself to the people who were drawn to government because of their mediocrity, so to be as good as they was not to be good enough.
