I have a vague understanding of Kurdish goodwill to good men, but I really can’t expand on any details — just sparse memories of favorable reports.
So if the Kurds are indeed an ally on balance, wouldn’t it make sense for the US to support them financially and militarily? Maybe we are.
Texas Fossil, I appreciate your personalization of the circumstances. I regret not having the time to invest in a deeper understanding of the players. But if you have a related ping list, add me to it. Thanks.

We have helped the Kurds in the past with arms, and Trump has promised to do more. Much to the disliking of Turkey.
There are some interesting youtube videos of guys from England and other Europeans that have gone on their own to help the Kurds and fight along side them.

Turkey has been an ongoing disappointment for at least the last 15 years.

Well, he does seem to be a socialist and his cheer for that particular group of Kurds is that they are socialists. A few years ago they self identified as Communists, actually.

Yes. May he indeed be in control today.
Urban warefare is a horror. For civilians and soldiers.

Teresa May probably does not know that Rojda lost 20 members of her family in an ISIS bombing attack on a wedding in her family.
She stepped in the middle of this a long time ago.

It is joint effort. Kurd (Muslim, Christian, other), Christian, and Arab (Muslim).
They do not think alike, but all know ISIS must end.
The persecution and brutality of ISIS has broken barriers that have lingered forever. Lets hope it is remembered forever.
And all this began with the Siege of Kobani (Kobane).
