u are exactly right, but I think there has been so much fed money pushing it that in some places the companies can grow without fed freebees.
Let’s face it coal is done. Natural gas has replaced it. Wind and Solar farms need infrastructure to deliver it to where it needs to be. If it’s profitable without freebees then so be it.

I don’t think that that is necessarily the case. We have an abundance of coal in our country and it’s cheap. So the problem becomes how to use it in a more environmentally “friendly manner.” But as always, market forces and available technology should be the drivers for what we end up using to fuel our power plants. for far too long, the government has put it’s foot on the scale, and that needs to stop.
