Exactly. Trump abhors anything unfair to the US. He’ll insist that whatever rules the Accord wants to apply to the US will have to equally apply to China, India and Pakistan. Heads will explode, but there won’t be a new, better deal.

Nobody can call him unreasonable on this because he's wiling to talk and cut a deal that is fair to everyone and doesn't hurt the American people. Since being unfairly burdensome to the American economy and disastrous for our people is a touchstone for ALL modern global agreements there will be no new agreement. But you can't say Trump didn't offer to negotiate.
