Rosanne Barr was very funny when she started out as a stand up comic. One of the very, very few female comics you could say that about. "Of course women are bad at math. For years we've been told that this (holding up her fingers about an inch apart) is six inches".

Growing up as a fat Jewish girl in Utah Mormon country wouldn't have been easy, but at least she inherited the funny gene. And the first couple years of her sitcom were an unusually honest and funny depiction of a struggling lower middle class white working family. Then she got involved with Tom Arnold and went way off the deep end. Now she's a vocal supporter of Israel and seems to have found her way to a better place.

I'm pleasantly surprised that Roseanne has at least *some* sense.

I'm sure she isn't a conservative by any means, but she does seem very patriotic.

She's OK in my book.
