Settle down. These spanking prohibitionists are trying to take it off the table entirely. They don't really believe "there is a better option"-- they want it REMOVED as an option.

Neither Pollster1, nor myself are saying to eliminate spanking, or sparing the rod. Just, that when used JUDICIOUSLY, that other forms of discipline can and do work. And when, those other forms don't work, THEN a spanking is appropriate.

On the other hand... You are ATTRIBUTTING TO GOD, that spankings are the most or only appropriate form of punishment or discipline.
