And a clear focus on marksmanship and PT with 20 mile marches with 80lb packs will weed out the poseurs and perfumed princes

20 mile marches with 80lb packs
And that is what put me in surgery at the tender age of 48. I deployed with a team in AFG and went on a mission with them. Since I was not a door kicker, I carried the radio and associated equipment. Got back to America and realized something wasn't right. Now I have six inch scar on my lower back, but I can still walk. Praise the Lord.

This is significant. The military is not a laboratory for social experimentation, it has a dedicated purpose.
If they are not out making noise, killing people, breaking things and scaring potential enemies into conformity, then what ARE they for? We might as well choose up debate teams for wussified college campuses.

Carrying a radio in Vietnam made you a mobile aiming stake. that’s why the platoon leader made the radio guy stay at least 15 meters away. /s

Good that he wants to focus on the military, but he needs to lose the PC term, War-Fighting and get back to calling it Combat like it should be.

Slightly smaller radio this time around. And it was very dark where we were. So no need to be that far back.
Although I am old enough to remember, and have used the PRC-77.

The goal of the US military is to kill our enemies, and break their shit with ruthless efficiency.
Anything less is completely unacceptable to the American soldier and the American people.

Problem would take care of itself because only the fittest would remain. And if a woman can do all that, all the power to her. Issue her an M-16 and get her to the front lines.

One can understand the attraction of being a Commander In Chief to those on the Left, particularly those who have never served: the military is a group of citizens who are charged with obeying orders and prohibited (to a degree) from complaining about it. It's a playpen for autocrats, a perfect petri dish for social experimentation, a microcosm of what they'd like all of society to be like and what they'd like to do to it when it is.
Oh, the mission? Never mind the mission. That's somebody else's problem. Those who respect the mission tend to respect the people trying to accomplish it; those interested in something else such as self-aggrandizement - Hillary, 0bama - tend not to.
