Why do they need staffs in the first place. The job isn’t that difficult that it should require such a big staff.

Totally agree, and if made dictator, one of the first changes I’d make would be to limit ALL house/senate people to 2 staffers. They can have one answer a phone, one for research. Or both for research & say screw you to their constituents.

...especially since it was released a couple of weeks ago that the lobbyists write the bills and then wander around and find a House or Senator to take their bill to the floor, then if it passes, that House or Senator gets money in his pocket...

So having Dems as staffers, even if it is surprising to some, it makes sense of why things are so ‘stuffed up’ in D.C.
