Evergreen isn't far from us, it's the school that hired Mumial Jamal (cop killer) to give graduates their 1990 commencement speech from his cell on death row. They also have a permanent memorial to Saint Pancake (Rachel Corrie) which consists of a dove with its butt impaled on top of a pyramid in a glass display case.
I was on jury duty a while back and during a break, some jurors were going on about how great Evergreen State is, blah blah, until I mentioned a few facts and they decided I was to be shunned. I got over it.
