Egyptian air force planes on Friday carried out strikes directed at camps in Libya where Cairo believes militants responsible for a deadly attack on Christians earlier in the day were trained, Egyptian military sources said.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he had ordered strikes against what he called terrorist camps, declaring in a televised address that states that sponsored terrorism would be punished.

Probably would have been smarter to do it before Christians were killed.

Basically just start killing them, and don’t stop killing them until they are all dead and there’s none left.

I would applaud if Egypt decided to invade and occupy Libya.

I like al Sisi. I believe he wants to protect the Egyptian Christians and he has rebuilt the destroyed and damaged churches from the Muslim Brotherhood brief reign. He will be a good ME partner for President Trump.

Great news. This kind of action is exactly what Trump was requesting in his speech in Saudi Arabia.

Terrorists probably did this attack using weapons supplied by Obama and Hillary to Arab Spring.

...

Trump may deserve some credit. He wants to see regional leadership, rather than the US having to go in and try to fix everything.

I was invited to go on a trip to Egypt with a crew from the local museum... Then a bus of tourists were shot up and they cancelled the trip... That was twenty five years ago — has there been any tourism in Egypt since?

“Basically just start killing them, and don’t stop killing them until they are all dead and there’s none left.”

Reminds me of a WW2 pilot long ago telling me about a run over Europe. As they came back to Britain, his wing man said “got to take off now” and made a swooping right turn over the pack. He then coyly said “ran out of gas”. I asked him the IDIOTIC question as to whether he was able to find a place to land. IDIOTIC because in WW2 Britain, it was impossible to put an airplane down without landing on a runway (pretty much).

In this case, you find signs of humans in Libya, hit them, and GUESS WHAT - you’ve just bombed a terrorist training camp.

But the left and GOP loonies like Linda and Graham will continue to wring their hands that the Arab Spring failed to deliver democracy.
