No, I never tried or will try LSD. :)
Chronic marijuana usage has been associated with mental illness, and marijuana contains 50-70 percent more cancer-causing substances than tobacco smoke; marijuana users are likely to use heroin or other more potent substances.
Like alcohol, no one knows who will become an addict. I’ve witnessed the ramifications of marijuana-induced mental illness and as an entryway to more potent illegal substances. Pot has caused the ruination of many a family. If only they had said “NO” to drugs.
False. 44% of Americans have used marijuana, but only 9.2% have in the past year used any other illicit drug (and almost all of them were misusing prescription drugs).
“...marijuana users are likely to use heroin or other more potent substances.”
Cool story. Too bad there’s no real scientific data to validate this long debunked claim.
I began using cannabis at age 54 in Feb 2015 for medicinal reasons. As I’ve posted in numerous threads previously, I thank God in Heaven every day for this wonderful plant. I have a set schedule of use & very rarely deviate from that. I have zero interest in crap like Heroin or “other more potent substances”.
I know many other folks who use cannabis medicinally. Like me these are people who never used cannabis after their early 20’s or at all. None of them to my knowledge have ever had an interest in harder drugs nor have they used them.
Reefer Madness was & remains a lie. The BS prohibitionists spew today hasn’t changed though. Thankfully, via anecdotal evidence & studies from Israel (who has an excellent medical cannabis program for their elderly) pretty much all the “reefer madness” BS has been throughly debunked & proven to be false, IMO.
