A knifeman? I guess they used to say swordsman but it’s an antiquated term. The only times killers are described by the weapon they used instead of the crime they committed is when they use guns.
I think if someone intends to burgle he should be called a burglar, a kidnapped a should be called a kidnapper, a terrorist a terrorist, etc.
Sure, it’s relevant that they were armed and somewhere in the report it’s appropriate to say what kind of weapon was used.
But this “gunman” thing is extremely annoying and it’s obviously part of a social programming propaganda campaign with an anti gun agenda.
