Ten masked gunmen, who used machine guns, opened fire at two buses carrying Egyptian Coptic Christians to a monastery south of Cairo on Friday, killing 26 including children and injuring 26 others, Al Arabiya News Channel reported.
The Christian group was travelling in two buses and a truck through the province, which is home to a sizeable Christian minority, the governor of Egypts Minya province, Essam al-Bedaiwy, said.
The health ministry said there were between eight and 10 attackers dressed in military uniforms, according to witnesses.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, which came on the eve of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
Coptic Christians, who make up about 10 percent of Egypts population of 92 million, have been the subject of a series of deadly attacks in recent months.
About 70 have been killed in bomb attacks on churches in the cities of Cairo, Alexandria and Tanta since December. Those attacks were claimed by ISIS.
Late last month Pope Francis visited Egypt in part to show his support for the Christians of this Muslim majority Arab nation who have been increasingly targeted by Islamic militants.
During the trip, Francis paid tribute to the victims of the December bombing at Cairos St. Peters church, which is located in close proximity to the St. Mark's cathedral, the seat of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Following the popes visit, ISIS affiliate in Egypt vowed to escalate attacks against Christians, urging Muslims to steer clear of Christian gatherings and western embassies as they are targets of their groups militants.
Copts rallied behind general-turned-president, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, in 2013 when he ousted his Islamist predecessor Mohammed Mursi, who hails from the Muslim Brotherhood group. Attacks on Christian homes, businesses and churches subsequently surged, especially in the countrys south.

This is a horrible act. ISIS is about to loose their capital in Raqqa, Syria. It cannot happen soon enough, this Great Evil must be totally eliminated.
It must be eliminated if we, our children, and our culture are to survive.
Will this be reported by the MSM?
10 lone gunners, acting alone, in now way following the religion of peace.

This will get Zip coverage by our bought and paid for media, if it gets that much. But let some citizen give a muslim the stink-eye here and it’s “hate crime” coverage wall to wall for days.
Lets see how the Pope handles this.
Nothing to do with Islam.
Not unless the MSM is forced to.
Everyone is reporting it. Just googled Egypt Coptic Christians and it was the first return.
Nothing was said about whether the terrorists were found. I have no doubt, President Sisi will take all possible action to end them.
He has never wavered since this began under Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorists. ISIS claimed they did the last such bombing in Egypt. Suspect they did this one too.
Good. I’m glad.
Has not changed my opinion of the MSM.
Ramadan again? Crap. Be vewwy vewwy quiet. I’m hunting Chwistians. Heheheheh. What? Hey! They can’t secede fwom Egypt! How unpatwiotic!
Here is CNN’s take:
Title on search: (Several dead as gunmen in Egypt fire on bus carrying Coptic)
Current title: Egypt: 26 dead as gunmen fire on bus carrying Coptic Christians

Black out on MSM??
ISIS attacked in south Phillipines too.
Black out!
Nor mine.
10 “lone wolf” gunmen, acting with unknown or indecipherable motivations, were forced by evil guns to commit these deeds. Yeah, that’s it, the guns made them do it.
Not “Islamist terrorists” but ordinary devoted Muslims. This is what their religion teaches and what they have always done when they have the chance. They are only following in the footsteps of Muhammad, the Perfect Man. So by all means, let us have more of them move into the West.
Why do I think the media will not bother covering this?
Why? Past experience.
