Well, Nate Silver said that unless Gian won by more than 8 points, it was good for the Dems. The spread is now 7.5, I would imagine they’ll be moving the goal posts back again soon.
55-45 has been the low end of the range for a landslide victory, a 10 point spread. Gian wins by 7.5 to 8% a very solid victory. The left has set a new bar for Republicans, every victory must have a 10% spread or it is really a victory for the Democrats. Quite frankly if we can consistently win by 7 to 8%, I would be very happy.
There are no moral victories.
